Any other captain would have had Flintoff bowling first change. This is a direct consequence of Freddie being captain.
I'm not sure I agree. The problem was in picking Anderson. If they knew that the ball would only swing for about 15 overs, I don't really see the logic in picking 2 swing bowlers, unless they were hoping for some extravagent reverse swing, which doesn't really happen in Aus to the same extent it does here. They had to have Anderson on as first change as otherwise he wouldn't get a bowl with the new, supposedly swinging, ball.
