this does work 100%
gently drip warm water in the ear, it creates the colder water to move and unblock.
Trust me...!
But then wouldn't the warm water just replace the cold?

Alcohol, rubbing Rubbing alcohol not only kills germs but causes water trapped in the ear to evaporate.
Apple cider vinegar If you notice water stopping up your ears, put three or four drops, diluted in equal parts with water or alcohol, in your ear after showering or swimming. This is a good preventive measure against future infection.
Hair dryer Use the warm (never hot!) setting of your hair dryer and place it about an arm's length from the ear and slowly move it back and forth. Test it on your wrist after it has been running a while before using it on the ear. The warm air will evaporate any trapped water.
Vinegar (distilled white) Put 2-3 drops of full strength white vinegar into the ear every two hours. This will be effective against any bacterial or fungal infection.
Cup the heel & palm of your hand over the ear with water, then firmily press in & out keeping hand sealed as much as possible ........ this will create enuff pressure (similar to a plunger)
if you feel air flow "unblock" your ear, just tilt head to side and allow to drain.
If this still doesn't help I would suggest buying an ear cleaning kit at drugstore. they contain ear drops, along with a rubber bulb that will blow air into ear canal, which should work to release water & wax so you can hear normal again.
Hold your nose closed with your finger and thumb and try to blow air out of your nose.
The air will be directed out towards your ears.
Bloody simple thing that helps when you are flying and will also clear congestion if it affects your ears (like it does me)
Only useful thing my GP ever told me.
New guidelines have said that you should never do that - as it raises the pressures in your ear - meaning that it can perforate
Ear candles. Go to a Chinese medicine shop, they sell them. Freaky. Had my ears "cleaned" with a sonic oojamaflip (technical term, honest), and then put a candle in my ear (not a normal one, a specialist one). Still pulled gunk and shite out that the specialists had missed. Odd feeling, brought my hearing back, and less greasy than trying to spray Crisp 'n' Dry into your ear....

ooh, can I have four candles please?
