He was a popular player at Crawley as well, I seem to recall round the time they won the old Southern Division and the Reds early Conference days he played.

Where did you hear that? The version I heard is that he hit his head on the pavement in a car park after trying to break up a fight.

Armo was at a 'family gathering' which apparently got out of hand and a few bottles flew - one of them hit Paul on the head. He went to get himself checked out and got the all clear - unfortunatley, some time later Paul started to feel unwell and it is believed he his suffering with a blood clot on the brain.

Paul is currently in Hurstwood, Haywards Heath which is one of the top Neurological Hospitals in the Country.
