I thought second series was fantastic, great to see the show and james win awards for such a well written piece of enterainment.

They are going to do a Christmas special to follow up this series and then see if they have enough quality material to do a third series.

Rob Bryden and Alison Steadman are excellent, and I only hope james and matthew get to do Big Brothers big mouth again, they are the only decent subs for Russell Brand.

I've loved this series but haven't seen the first to compare it. The thing I like most is that it is packed full of great characters. I can only imagine it would have been a great show to make.

Watching Doctor Who keeps reminding me of Catherine Tate.

When Catherine Tate is speaking all I can visualise is characters from her show.

Totally agree. Didn't Peep Show pick up an award last night too? Best Sit Com or something? Can't wait for the next series.

Another one that's original and consistently strong is Spaced.

Catherine Tate? Totally unfunny and derivative. not an original idea there. A pale imitation of Little Britain and The Fast Show.

League of Gentlemen was one of the most innovative comedies in recent years, but it was a (very black) sit com, not a sketch show. Not sure they are very directly related.
