None of your buisness
I've been hearing a lot of positive stuff from my cousin (who's a Crewe fan) about this Gary Roberts. Sounds like we've got ourselves a right gem of a player if he can stay away from the poker chips and booze. For Crewe he was their star man and many were expecting a big transfer fee. He was dubbed a to be a future star and showed it on the pitch. I've been told he'll step straight into our team regardless of the quality we've already got and he'll give us that cutting edge above the rest with his Gerrard like role position. A ball winner and a goal scorer, isn't that what we need?
A spoilt midfield of 3 outstanding talents all below the age of 26 all battling for a place in the starting 11 sounds very promotion like. God I hope we sign this lad up, only 22! How did he get on last night?

He scored a 30 yarder and I personally would sign the chap, but if he's got problems with alcohol and gambling, perhaps Brighton isn't the best place for him to relocate to?!

He sounds like a good young player and we are lacking a creative central midfielder. Whether he'd get in the side straight away is another question but it can't be bad to have the option.

Sounds like he has got the lot,,,,,and then some more.Lets hope he sorts his demons out and realises what a talent he has and dosnt waste it by pissing his carrer away.....Everyone deserves a second chance and sometimes a third, lets hope we sign him up and he becomes a big hit....Just not sure Brighton is the best place for a young lad with a booze and gambeling problem. That said the temptation will be wherever he is.

Why not? Its no different to any other place in Britain - booze is available 24 hrs a day almost anywhere & anyone who fancies a gamble only has to have access to a pc to be able to have a bet/game of poker ect.Thats why theres so many piss artists & gamblers about, you dont need a pub or a bookies or a casino these days

Hasn't he just spent time at The Sporting Chance Clinic ...or whatever it's called?

Sounds like the missing link for a side that wants promotion.

He said his addictions stemed from boredom, and without wanting to belittle Crewe and Yeovil, I'm certain he'll find more to do in Brighton than those other places....like pitch and putt at Roedean or a nice walk to the marina.

Sign him up i say, i understand he is a very god player, is apparently off the booze, so why not give him something worthwhile to keep him off them?

He IS a good player... obviously subject to him sorting out his off-field problems, but I would be more than happy to see him in our attacking CM role if he has...

Agreed surely he would offer more than Navarro and Livermore. Sign him up :ascarf:

TBH, that is not difficult, but we are defo short a quality attacking CM... Thornhill could be the answer, but he is obviously not our player...
