In 1981 we went to the first run of Cats. Brian Blessed, Elain Paige. I was dragged along. It was magical. Honestly when EP hit the high notes I was stunned more than when I saw the original Lynyrd Skynyrd do Free Bird at the Dome. Or various performances by Peter Hammill, VNV Nation and Caravan. But I digress....

We saw Miss Worth (the Tilsley) with a very small entourage in the foyer before overture and beginners.

Small, ugly, and weirdly from another time.
