The Queen and I, by Sue Townsend - better still if you can get hold of the BBC audio version read by Miriam Margolees. Plus the George MacDonald Frazer (the author of the Flashman books, themselves pretty funny) trilogy starting with The General Danced at Dawn

I can also thoroughly recommend the Hap and Leonard series by Joe R. Lansdale. They're hardboiled, violent and very funny.

Looking for a book to make me :lolol:

Just finished The Amateurs by John Niven, which was quite possibly the funniest book i've ever read.

Any suggestions?

have a read of Douglas Adam's "Dirk Gently's holistic detective agency" or "the long dark teatime of the soul" both really funny

Third nod here for Tom Sharpe

About twenty cracking fun-filled titles, and every one a winner

If I could humbly suggest you start with Wilt
