I have a mate from Rotherham, which isn't far away from Sheffield, and he hates Wednesday :lolol: with a passion

I have a mate from Sheffield and he hates Wednesda with a passion!

But I do think, other than fourth officials, it would be sensible to avoid these sort of appointments.

Some People from Crawley hate Brighton

Totally agree. The one counter argument though is that by appointing an official from close by, afterwards they're more likely to get a lot of grief about a contentious decision from others in that area which just might subconsciously influence them. Not saying that's necessarily true. Just saying.
