There is no doubting Elphick gives a shit. He had only played a handful of games and he was trying to pump the crowd up, looks visually delighted/gutted when we score or concede and is not afraid to put his head in the way of an opponents boot.

Conversely, Mr Badger, you seem to have a problem with homegrown players.

I do agree that 'bleeding blue and white' should not be an attribute that gets you into the Albion team. But I do think you have been unfair on the likes of Fraser. Elphick does seem to be immune to criticism, whereas someone like El-Abd is a popular target (underserving most of the time).
