Did this ages ago. It's extremely difficult to end up anything other than left of centre.

Also the questions are loaded to push you one way

On the same side as Mandela and the Dalai Lama (but a bit further to the right) it seems.

I ended up

Economic Left/Right: -3.00
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -1.44

The questions are totally loaded to to support the left though. A lot of answers aren't as black and white as they make out.

e.g. Rehabilitation is more important than punishment. Well if we're talking about a burglar or car theaf then yes. If we're talking about a serial rapist of mass murderer then no. Basically if you are a lifer then there isn't much point rehabilitating you. you are there to be punished. I think Rehabilitation is important but prison is also supposed to be a detereant.

What am I going to answer? Punishment is more important? of course not but in a lot of cases it is. It also groups all muli national companies together. So I have to compare Esso with dyson?

Damn near right in the middle. In the same quadrant as the Dalai Lama and Gandhi. Happy with that.

If you are concerned about politicalcompass.org, you can try this one instead: Political Survey

Interestingly, it claims to be a response to the right libertarian bias of politicalcompass.org - i.e. it suggests that politicalcompass.org leans right (not left) and libertarian.
