And another eight years before you say something interesting?!?!

Ah whilst your here and it does bear reference to the thread. Your signature shows the phrase 'don't tell em your name, pike' which is completely incorrect, inaccurate and really unfunny. If Arthur Lowe had said 'don't tell em your name Pike', the whole comedic effect would have been lost. It is so hysterically funny because when Phillip Madoc says 'I'll shall be taking your name as well - what is it? The intrigue and classic humour is that he doesn't know. For Lowe to then shout in an over disciplinarian way 'don’t tell him Pike' creates the humour as the German would have no idea if that was Pike's NAME or not. The fact the Madoc reacts to Lowe's fau pax by saying 'Pike' and writing it down makes it all the more funny. Lowe is also just referring to Madoc and no one else as no one else asked for Pikes name. Do see you see? Can you change it please.
Interesting eh?

I don't get it. Why does it make any difference from 'your name' to "don't tell him Pike" without that bit?

NMH is shortened from Nice Mister Hilter, but in the actual sketch that isn't said but "that nice Mr McGoerring".
A slight move away from the script there, but only a proper bocialist-party sympathizer would notice and care about that.

Yeah but Mainwaring said don't tell HIM,not them or em! The comedic effect would have been lost. I know about comedy. I have been to the Komedia.

Most certainly will not change it. Having "Don't tell 'em Pike" is less funny when taken out of the context of the scene, therefore I have used a little poetic licence to make it read better on it's own.

And no, what you said is not interesting, just boring and pedantic.
