Palin isn't thick as such, just slightly touched, I think that's part of her appeal though, many Americans feel she's a kindred spirit. In some ways it's a pity that Thatcher doesn't see her as a lot of Americans will object to an American Presidential Candidate being seen to be getting advice from a foreigner.

I must say that Grimsby and its surrounding area were very pleasant over the weekend. The sun shining in the lovely square at Castor and the wolds around Cuxwold and Swallow as charming and untouched as ever. Not reet grim at all.

Thatcher has a degree in Chemistry from Oxford. That is well known. Palin some form of media studies degree from the University of Idaho.
I'm struggling to find reference to either's musical ability.
