I'm off to Majorca at the end of October and I'm hoping to watch Mallorca vs Racing Santander whilst I'm there. Have any of you been to a match over there? and how did you go about getting a ticket?

Thanks for any advice you can give me.

Mac.

When I was there, I got tickets via the Thomson (I think) rep - there is a fella there (around Palma Nova) who has been there years and organises coach trips for games. Open to all, not just thomson guests.

By the way - this was about 5 yrs ago, so not sure if he is still around.

We went to Real Mallorca V Sevilla... bottom of the table clash... very dull. Nice ground though.

I used to live in Majorca and went to quite a few home games, just turn up at the gate and buy a ticket.

That sounds a novel idea. Wonder why they don't do it in this country. :jester:

It is best to get a ticket a couple of days before the match rather than on the day. When i did it, I went three days before the match and they had some left.

Thankyou for all your advice, we're arriving on the Thursday and the match is Sunday, so I think I'll get the tickets on Thursday whilst I'm in Palma.

Buying tickets at the ground, how civilised!

I went with the family to the opening game of the season 2 years ago. Just turned up a bit early and bought tickets at the window. Good value behind the goal. You can then have a drink in abar at the ground, sat outside in the sun. Mallorca going well so far this year so hope its a good game. There was a mad old geezer near us who led the singing, hope he's still going.
If you have a hire car you can park on the verge of the main road near the ground. Otherwise its a bit out of town on the northern edge. Enjoy!
