England 0 - 0 Norway

In 1994, a proper early/mid-nineties England friendly performance. Rubbish game, the only thing I can remember was David Platt having a goal from a free kick disallowed.

Our starting team that day...

Seaman, David
Adams, Tony
Bould, Steve A.
LeSaux, Graeme
Ince, Paul Emerson Carlyle
Wise, Dennis
Anderton, Darren
Platt, David Andrew
Beardsley, Peter
Shearer, Alan
Jones, Robert Marc ("Rob")

was at that too. i remember seeing matt le tissier and ian wright warming up nearby.

England - Hungary at Wembley 1983
Peter Withe and Trevor Francis scoring in a 2-0.

Bought the tickets months earlier thinking - as a Brighton fan - I'd never get to Wembley (no play-off games back then). In the end went three times that year.

At work - probably
My first was a 1-1 draw in a Home International against Northen Ireland in 1980ish at Wembley

My second was was slightly more interesting, particularly as a certain Mr Foster played!

Interesting looking back at that match and working out what each player are up to presently. I make it 4 still playing, 4 in a coaching/managerial capacity, 1 maybe 2 doing TV punditry and sadly one who looks like he's very close to the self destruct button. :nono:

I went to the England B international at the Goldstone against Italy, but didnt go to senior game for a lot longer after that

Not a bad one, I started in Euro 96, as I was then allowed by my parents to go without adult supervision to games, so went to…….

England 4 (Shearer 23 pen, 57, Sheringham 51,62)
Holland 1 (Kluivert 78)

David Seaman
Gary Neville
Tony Adams
Gareth Southgate
Stuart Pearce
Darren Anderton
Paul Gascoigne
Paul Ince (David Platt 67)
Steve McManaman
Teddy Sheringham (Robbie Fowler 75)
Alan Shearer (Nick Barmby 75)

One and only England game was this one:

16 Oct 1985 (Wembley, World Cup)

England 5 Turkey 0: Bobby Robson gave his team "a severe dressing-down" for easing up after gaining a 5-0 lead early in the second half. Gary Lineker established himself as first-choice striker with a hat-trick as qualification was secured for the World Cup finals, the other goals coming from Chris Waddle and Bryan Robson.

...must have been a memorable game because I always thought it was Robson who bagged a hat-trick...could have been the excessive amount of alcohol I consumed prior to the game that clouded the memory.

It was a friendly against Spain in the early 80's.

It obviously made a big impression on me because I can't remember the score, who I went with or who played for England that night.

I think the spanish goalie was Arconada though, or something similar and there was someone called Jesus in the team which I thought was amusing.
