Ok, following on from another thread, which was your first car.

Mine was a Ford Capri. 1977 but I bought it in 1986 so it was knackered. Supposed to be metallic brown .:p The passenger door clanged when it was shut, the hatchback didn't shut properly and it never got passed 70mph

But I loved driving it along Brighton seafront with Squeeze/Jam/Clash blaring out of the windows on my way to pick up my girlfriend.

It also had very good reclinable seats for said girlfriend

An 1983 A reg Fiat Uno in metallic green bought in 1992. It was such a rust bucket you could slide you hand inside the door and unlock it form the outside. Lasted through three cheap MOTs before I dumped it off at the scrap yard and was given 25 quid for it.

I still have very fond memories of my 1989 black MG Metro with silver MG badging and cool as f*** spoiler.

Yes it was essentially just a metro but it didn't half go for a car of its age and I was well proud of it.

Fairly low mileage when I bought it and the interior was immaculate. You don't see many about these days and sadly mine gave up completely after about 85,000 miles.

I miss it now as it really was a very unique car, but one thing I don't miss is the £1,000 insurance bill. 17 year old in a hatchback with go-faster stripes did not impress the insurance companies at all.

White Y-Reg Ford Sierra which I bought for £940 in 1991. It got nicked from outside my house in Withdean the night before an away game at Bournemouth. I'm convinced someone nicked it to save themselves and their mates the train fare.

1994 M reg Escort 1.6. Needed a decent car to get my stuff up and down the motorway to uni in Middlesbrough. Spent over 2 grand on it (in 2002) and dropped out of uni after a week! Excellent motor though never broke down (except one christmas eve in the middle of nowhere in Dorset but that was just dirty petrol!) and just recently part exchanged it (see other thread) only got £200 for it  .

MkII Cortina 1600. White with a black vinyl roof and Capital Radio sun strip.

I loved it, but managed to blow the engine on a trip to Wales.

I learnt a lot about mechanics whilst I had it - but not as much as with the Dolomite 1850 that replaced it!

On NSC for over two decades...
My first car is also my current car, a 1986 C reg Mark 2 Golf GL 1.8, Stratos Blue.

I've owned it eight years, and its probably in slightly better condition than when I bought it, certainly it is a lot less rusty and leaky. Having said that various bits of it have either exploded or died this year, and it failed its MOT on Monday, but I should be getting it back, fully functional, today.

E reg Fiat Uno. T'was metallic green with black stripes. Wasn't a bad car to be fair and it only let me down once when I was working at Gatwick and it broke down on the perimeter road, had the armed police out for that and everything.
