Films that didn't have a sequel but fully deserved one.

Worthing
Titanic

Something to do with barnacles or something. Maybe come at in a way where the sessile suspension feeders featured quite heavily in the plot and needed help.

ET

Spielberg went as far as sketching up a story about ET needing Elliott's help and taking him back to his planet but decided against it and stated he would never make a sequel as the ending was perfect and could not be added to.

Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. Obviously they would have had to survive that hail of bullets.

There was an unofficial made-for-TV 'sequel' with Katharine Ross, but it was shitehawk. And a prequel. And the series Alias Smith and Jones (great theme tune) was a sort of spin-off. But never a proper sequel.

One of the actors topped himself so it would be difficult.

''And in all those banks and trains they robbed they never shot anyone''

I think the only way they could have improved the ending to ET would have been to have placed it about 2 minutes into the film.

Is there any Spielberg films you like or are they all a load of shite ?. Still being such a successful actor in your own right it gives you the right to slag off someone with more talent in his left ear lobe than you are ever likely to have in your entire body. Keep sniping mate.
