Command and Conquer: Tiberiun (spelling!?) Sun on the PC was, and still is, sheer quality! Head to heads on a LAN wasted many an hour of my life...

Pipeline - where you were the plumber needing to fix the broken pipes? I remember that, great game.

That's the one.
It kept our company spirits up during the early 90's recession!

difficult to pick an all time favorite, but all GTA games (except 2) have been fantastic, Sensible Soccer and Cannon Fodder should be reworked and re-released, Civilisation, Red Alert and Populas have probably been responsible for my underachieving education, and ive played Elite on a half dozen formats.

Honourable mentions to Sensible Soccer (Megadrive), Pro Evolution Soccer III (PS2), Street Fighter II Turbo (SNES), Super Mario Kart (SNES) and Super Maro Bros. 3 (NES).

But my favourite game by far is Sid Meier's Civilisation II. Released back in 1996, I still play it to this day nine years later. It's that good a game and puts the disappointing Civilisation III to shame.

Best multiplayers ever. FACT

not true

MarioKart on SNES was infinitely better.

N64 used to cheat, giving slower cars decent stuff and the front car sodding bananas all the time.

Dynamite Heady was genius. If I could find that again, I'd happily buy a Megsdrive just to play it.
Some old PC game I can't quite remember, space game - Galactrix or something?
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is awesome, as is the sequel.
Prince of Persia 2: The Shadow and The Flame rules.
ISS 2000
Sonic & Knuckles. I'm so proud I completed every inch of that game.

Someone read my mind on this subject so I'll start what I was thinking about. A Computer Game World Cup. This thread gives me a starting point so watch this space. That should settle the arguments.

I think you would need a qualifying tournament for this one. I dont think even a top 32 version would suffice.

Some excellent suggestions! I remember playing for hours on Man U in Europe on my cousins Acorn computer, me in goal, him on pitch, working through the European Cup then the Super Cup and then the World club cup. Marvellous!

I'm amazed you've only just added to it Crabbers.

I second your mention of Doom...couldn't stop playing that till I finished it. Obscenely addictive.
