It has to be Peter Ward for me, with nostalgia playing a large part in the decision. As an impressionable kid I understood less of the game than I do now but came to love BHAFC when Wardy was someone to boast about in the school playground.

Of those listed I would say Peter Ward but my two favourites were:

1st Peter O'Sullivan cam e to us as 20 year old on a free from Man Utd because they had a certain George Best and he couldnt get in their team. Played for us for about 13/14 years. Got a full cap with Wales whilst with us.

2nd Norman Gall

I think that he joined us from Gateshead, but I may be wrong, as a young man and played for us for years always giving 110%

I agree that it's an odd list, but then not everyone's as old as me. I've known Cullip was a top man since the first game - a driven player, utterly committed and a superb organiser. If his distribution was better he'd be in the Premiership, but that's our gain. Add to that that he's such a genuine guy, and he gets my vote even over the legend that was PW.

Even though I now think he's a twat, there is a good case that Lawrensen was our best ever player - he was, after all, considered as one of the best centre-backs in the world (Not long after he left us).

I met him several times & even nut-megged him once in '82. Even though I was only 14/15, he didn't seem to have a personality - almost stammered when he spoke - certainly nervous.

He did get me on the Liverpool team coach after the Albion evening game in '84 with the likes of Bob Paisley (RIP), Kenny Dalglish etc. which was special.

Lawrensen was f***ing good - Wardy is the legend.
