Ive never seen Doctor Who before,so i made a point of watching it lastnite.
I thought it was wicked, and will deffinatly watch it again.
Billie Pipers an added bonus aswell.

Btw,i voted for Christpher Eccleston coz i dont know any of the others.

It seems clear to me, that the first Dr Who you knew, is always going to be THE Dr Who.

When you are the smallest, the fascination with the mysterious timelord is the greatest.
For me, the wizzen and benevolent grandfatherly image of William Hartnell brought the show to life. It was also a new and unique series then, so he started the whole character.

The Daleks were well scary, and the Ian Dowie character was really ugly.

On a train...
Tom Baker for me, but that new bloke is good.

Doctor Who is back, big style. Makes Saturday evening TV worth watching again.

Can't wait to see the Daleks again.

Agree NMH. My first Dr was Baker, and that's it for me. He evokes those childhood memories.

Not necessarily, my first was Pertwee but I've always liked Tom Baker.

I'm no big sci fi or Dr Who fan, but it says something for the pull of the show (in spite of it's reputation for tacky sets and costumes - Cybermen wearing motorbike gloves sprayed silver) when arguably two of the finest British 'new wave' acting talents of their respective generations - Mcgann and Eccleston are drawn to the role.

Baker was excellent, but Pertwee was the best IMHO

Peter Cushing only did the film version. He wasnt a 'tv' Doctor.

Jon Pertwee for me although William Hartnell as the first Doctor really set the standard.

people go on about the awful effects first time around...true,but what always, IMHO, saved the show was the tremendous acting ability of the stars, especially Pertwee and Baker

the last series of the original run in 1989 had decent enough effects and was quite good, I recommend it.
