Seems to be a bit of confusion here - are we talking about 'favourite' manager or 'best' manager? - there's a difference! My favourite would be Pat Saward (the 1971 - 2 promotion season was the one I saw the Albion the most times, and it was thrilling). Best - Paisley, Shankly.........and yes, OK, Sir Alex. Not Clough - he was a fcuking disster at Brighton (and I watched quite a bit of that too)
