The construction timetable is detailed as follows:

1. Erection of hoarding to the University of Brighton boundary (along the western edge of the stadium site field).

2. Erection of hoarding along Village Way. Removal and storage of topsoil from stadium site and Village Way south.

3. Excavation of East and South Stand sites plus pitch. Removal of spoil to coach-park and Village Way south.

4. Laying of South Stand foundations and thrust wall bases.

5. Laying of East Stand foundations. Diversion of services.

6. Erection of South Stand steelwork.

7. Demolition of small buildings at northern part of site (west of Turnpike Piece). Erection of East Stand steelwork. Installation of pre-cast concrete terraces in South Stand.

8. South Stand construction. Installation of suspended floor slabs in East and South Stands.


Autumn 2009
9. New hoarding erected to west. Demolition of University of Brighton buildings. Excavation for north-east and north-west thrust wall.

10. Construction of north-east and north-west thrust walls. West Stand excavation. Onsite assembly of East Stand roof truss.

11. Erection of East Stand roof truss. Excavation of West Stand basement. Laying of West Stand foundations.

12. Laying of North Stand and West Stand basement foundations Installation of East and South Stand roof steelwork.


New Year 2010
13. Erection of West Stand steelwork. On-site assembly of West Stand roof truss. East Stand cladding and glazing.

14. Continuation of East Stand cladding and glazing. Installation of West Stand suspended floor slabs. Installation of North Stand steelwork and pre-cast concrete. Assembly of West Stand roof truss.

15. Erection of West Stand roof truss. Erection of West Stand basement retaining walls.
Installation of North Stand suspended floor slabs. South Stand cladding and glazing.

16. Continuation of South Stand cladding and glazing. Installation of West Stand roof steelwork.

17. Removal of temporary roof props. Commencement of roof sheeting on West Stand. Continuation of South Stand cladding and glazing.


Summer 2010
18. Completion of West Stand roof sheeting. Continuation of roof sheeting to North and South Stands. Cladding and glazing of West Stand. Installation of coach-park drainage.
Installation of lighting and services suspended from roof.

19. Continuation of roof sheeting to East Stand and completion. Continuation of cladding and glazing. Continuation of lighting and service installation under roof.

20. Continuation of lighting and service installation under roof. Construction of steps to coach-park. Construction of coach-park sub-base and kerbs.


Autumn 2010
21. Construction of new steps and ramp west side. Construction of external concourse southern end. Completion of coach-park. Preparation of pitch.

22. Continuation of pitch preparation. Continuation of external concourse western side.

23. Continuation of pitch preparation. Continuation of external concourse eastern side.

24. Pitch establishment. Continuation of external concourse northern side.
New Year 2011
25. Continuation of pitch establishment. Planting of trees and bushes.

27. Pitch completion. Completion of landscaping and turfing. Removal of hoardings.

Cherry Blossom in goal is OK but if you don't look after it properly it will quickly turn into Perry Digweed.
