I think you'll find that the deals for the funding are more or less secure. Put it this way, the City Council were more than happy about the funding exercise when the plans were submitted, and the club have maintained that the securing of the finance could only happen once the approval was concrete.

I honestly don't think funding will be an issue.

I can see why people want a 30,000+ stadium, but I'd expect in 10-15 years time TV season tickets allowing fans to watch matches from their homes will be available, cutting the need for capacity of more than 22,000. Also, the laws on terracing might change and that could boost capacity if required.

I would have thought 25,000 capacity would have been about right, though.
