Plus two lots of TV money, which I believe were £37,500 a pop. Although we will have lost money with the first two matches at Withdean.

Because we lose money at every match at Withdean and these games were not particularly well attended (not bad though) with reduced ticket prices.

The tv money kicks in on the 3rd round proper which is 144k.Shame our game with Watford isn't on the box.Might get highlights though.

Money gained for the home games, surely? If we hadn't entered the FA Cup, we wouldn't have any sort of extra income from two fixtures and our rent is a flat fee isn't it?

Surely the two categories I've shown in bold are redundant? Or after the Q/Fs do you get cash just for playing, whereas previous rounds only pay the winners only?

Well it's the only two rounds where they quote prize money for runners-up, so yup, looks like you get cash just for playing.

I suppose so, didn't think of it like that. I suspect the game by game costs would be less than the gate receipts for those two matches. So you are correct. Of course these FA Cup matches will only have helped us lose less money at Withdean rather than make a profit as such, but that is life at a converted athletics track I suppose.

I assume Withdean still loses money unless it's rammed.

My understanding was that since the Albion took over the running of the stadium on match days we only needed to get a 50% attendance to break even.

Yes, that rings a bell with me now. Although the FA Cup games being cheaply priced don't help, but all other league games must have been a slight profit for the club

They probably don't have to pay the players extra either - apart from a possible win bonus.
