Why start a thread with swear words ? really is not necessary, young kids use this site, have a care !

Maybe a fair point, but actually one only has to click into any one of the threads on this forum to find all manner of foul language and explicit images, so I would say keeping the thread titles clean is a pretty meaningless act. Your own avatar is a pretty good example!

Are you having a rough night? I know friday's loss was frustrating but there are other ways to take out your anger. :tantrum:

I personally am well pissed off with BT tonight. I (over-)use the internet for work, transferring big files, downloading, watching stuff etc. And no, it's not *all* porn. Since our supposed 'upgrade' to 8MB ADSL-2 our service has got worse, and not ony that we no longer get 24hr support, as apparently the system is too complicated for the standard script-reading muppets to deal with, so I'm reduced to using a crappy dongle on a crappy laptop to try to work out if anyone else in cyberworld is getting the same shit service as me.

Personally, I wouldn't let ANYONE'S young kids ANYWHERE near this site, but that's just me. That said, if it elicits this sort of response I will of course keep my titles clean in the future.

Having a good night actually, am also over the loss on Friday night, though i will grant you it is annoying whenever we lose.

My only point is, I just don't see any need to start a thread with bad language in the title.

Regarding young kids on this site, it is a B&HA football message board site and will naturally attract youngsters, there is not alot we can do about that.

I also have BT broadband internet and have the same 8MB ADSL-2 as you, in all fairness in all the time we have had it, we have not experienced any problems (yet!!) I hope you get it resolved soon

BT offer a crap service. Here in MK we have had problems with broadband. Sometimes we can't even get connected and sometimes it just cuts out usually in the middle of a message you're typing.:annoyed:

I've managed to finish this one.

It's all to do with your aluminium cabling.

It must be something to do with areas, as i said, we have had no problems with our BT broadband at all, and we have had it a few years now.

(almost certain I have tempted fate on it now !!!!!!!!)

Not BT but O2...all kinds of problems over the last couple of weeks or so, cutting out, slow speeds etc, etc...I understand the problem is where the phone lines are the old copper type and just can't handle internet connection of any speed, also the distance from the exchange can be a factor...we just have an outdated telephone infrastructure in many (not all) parts of the country...unfit for purpose in the twenty first century.

We are out of contract with BT now, and are thinking of doing the whole Sky package, broadband, phone etc, we already have the sky sports and movies etc.

Anyone got any views on the sky broadband ? as i dont want to change if it's rubbish, but the whole package will work out alot cheaper for us.

It works fine down here sir. It was crap when it first started but they sorted it pretty quickly.

If you hang in there with them you'll be able to get proper superfast broadband next year.

BT and Sky both use the BT network, so network performance will be the same.

If you live a long way from the exchange your performance is affected and if lots of people are online at the same time as you, your performance will be affected. You could knock on your neighbours doors and ask them to stop using the internet when you want to.
