As I have no read the "Ask The Club" bit, I agree this is indeed funny and not in any way catty. Seems to be based on confirmed facts, without causing any offence, so why anyone would get offended is beyond me.

'ere... my good lady was at the meeting as a 'random fan' (as one of the 12 who bothered to turn up, despite many more having been invited...) - and she is only in her late 30's, which is not 'old' by my reckoning... She will have to give 'Paul' a good spanking for insinuating otherwise...
