Even though LDC backed down we still need to turn out at the polling booth!!

I have no confidence in the liberals running our council. The final for them is when they lose power, it will teach them a big lesson not to go against the majority of the public view.

If they get booted out do they stop collecting their big salaries at the council?

The councillors don't really get "big salaries". They get a few grand a year each for turning up to meetings. People with cabinet responsibility get a few grand more.

And yes, if they're beaten in an election then they can't turn up to meetings and therefore can't get their allowances.
