On the subject of penalties, I noticed Mitrovic usually goes straight down the middle when taking them.
Makes sense as the goalie always goes one way or the other.

Mitoma did ever so well there, showed great strength and determination to create the chance for Evan to slot home

That was an outrageously hard strike for the first goal. The 'keeper would've seen it slightly late, but apart from that he was just completely done for pace.
With a nutmeg through the defender’s legs.

That first goal screamed Alan Shearer. He did exactly what Shearer and other top strikers like him say to do - hit it hard and on target. You give yourself a massive chance of scoring that way.
Compare it to Mac Alister’s recent misses where he’s tried to place them all in the corner and they’ve either gone wide or been soft and blocked by keeper/defender. Difference between a top striker and a top midfielder!
It looks like we've finally got the kind of striker we've been desperately needing for several years, someone who promises to be as prolific as Glen Murray.
We've come as far as we have without such a player. It's going to be interesting to see what we do next season now we have someone who is capable of converting all those chances we create.

If Evan is on penalties next year he could easily get 15+ you have to reckon.

Did he take them for the under 23’s? Can’t remember.
Pedro was Watford’s penalty taker so probably first choice next season with Mac Allister’s likely departure?

The best bit for me was when the defender leant into Mitoma to slow him up only to find Mitoma had slowed and wasn’t there. I thought at first Mitoma had fouled him but he hadn’t. Well done referee Tierney, I don’t care what Klopp says about you I reckon you’re alright!
