about £350 return for flights to Kiev (indirect, but 1 hour connection times each way) and £110 for Kiev-Donetsk return.

Accomodation in Donetsk is like rocking horse shit. A lot of university dorms for cheap, but shared facilities. So will hold out. Kiev should be OK

Poland is one of my favourite countries but I'm going to give Euro 2012 a miss as the prices for everything will be inflated and there is a hooligan problem at the moment which could cast a shadow over the tournament with Germany, Croatia and to a lesser extent, England possible targets.
