I think it's an event which may have missed NSC out, but certainly not me. I watch alot of Spanish football, and I genuinely can't believe Jarque has died. He very nearly joined Liverpool last summer, but stayed loyal to Espanyol. Fabregas having an Arsenal shirt done up with his name and number seemed a bizarre tribute to me to be honest though.

Very very sad, but it does raise a question about the Spanish footballer. First there was Antonio Puerta (a match I was watching live, it was sickening watching the replay the first time of him just dropping like a stone), then there was Real Madrid's Ruben De La Red last season (although his heart attack happened not when playing, and he is perfectly fine though hasn't played since) and now Dani Jarque. Who next?

Of course there was the thing over here with Clive Clarke (who at West Ham was something of a flair icon), having a heart attack and that. Seems more common now than before.
