Ernest - Comedy genius or as funny as toothache?

We all know that Ernest is an die-hard Albion fan really and that any anti-Dick Knight/Martin Perry comments are all tounge-in-cheek, but the question is, is it becoming just a little tiresome?

The problem is, with new people joining NSC all the time, there will always be those that don't realise he's joking and take the bait. Coupled with the 'hilarious' late night tete-a-tetes with Beach Hut (how to wreck a thread in twenty posts), it makes for some pretty tedious reading.

Is it time for Ernest to hang up his wind-up gloves, or do you still find it all as funny as when he first asked people to back up the ARS?
