Don't be so hard on your team. I think you'll just about survive relegation

I hope you survive and get back in the top flight. I think it's important for the game to have a team from Yorkshire in the Premiership. I wouldn't be quite so smug about our respective positions though. If we get our stadium then we have a very real chance of getting into the Premiership one day.

How many people are you locking out 7 or 8,000?

It's impossible to say. It's been a long time since we had a ground that could hold our full support. Attendances have increased everywhere in that time. Judging by our catchment area, previous crowds and the number we take away and the number who went to the play off final I think we can justifiably say that if we were doing reasonably well in the Championship or we were in The Premiership that we'd be looking at regular attendances of over 20,000.

I agree with Royal Ali regarding the potential at Hull. They are a true sleeping giant and a benchmark for what we could do again if we get a stadium anything like theirs.

No way would it be regularly 20,000 + , home gates would be average 12 - 13,000 and for the big games 18,000.

probably not too disimilar to Reading IMHO

Hope this has the same effect as your last mock-in-advance post, TWR!

If we were doing well they could be. I agree with your figures based on what we used to get at The Goldstone but like I said, attendances have increased everywhere since then and a new all seater stadium would be a more attractive prospect to a lot of people. We have a much bigger support than Reading. If we can take 30,000 plus to the play off final then why would we only get half of that at home for the bigger matches?

Remember that hundreds if not thousands of people went insanely out of their way for the playoff final that just could not do that for more than one or two games a season.

Yes, but that's just the point, they wouldn't have to go out of their way for home matches. A new state of the art stadium on our doorstep would attract many of those people week in week out.

I meant the hundreds to thousands of people who live MILES away from BN1. Like me. I couldn't easily get to a match in Falmer, even if I knew I had no ticketing issues.
