Rooney, Owen and Defoe are certainties.

Who would you take as the final striker?

It's a pretty grim looking list to be honest.

Bent could easily turn out to be the 2005 model of David White or Michael Ricketts though

Sheringham.
He's still doing it for West Ham. OK he's old, but his games never been about pace anyway, he's kept himself in superb nick, and there's no other forward like him.

I still think he's got something to offer.

Anyone saying Sheringham, have you actually watched him play 90 minutes this season??

He's doing alright but he's nowhere near the player he was, and nowhere near international class any more.

Sheringham offers a different option from the bench.

Surely that is what we would be looking for.

Of course I agree he has no actual chance. But we could do a lot worse.

Someone like Kevin Davies could be the place to look

Basically a similar type of player to Heskey, but worse. But the tabloids haven't made him a scapegoat yet so give him a try. ???

They inevitably would, we should just take Owen, Bent, Johnson, and Defoe so we can have 4 strikers who are 5 foot nothing who all play the exact same way, that'd be good.

Completely agree.

I think we should take

Owen
Rooney
Defoe

and someone who offers a more physical presence up front, probably Heskey. My first choice would have been Smith but he plays too much in Midfield these days.

Roger Milla was 42 when he played for Maceroon, and it did not stop him.

Darren Bent out of those options.

Sven is taking Crouch so all alternatives are hypothetical.

Stop deliberatly missing out Andrew Johnson he is far better than Crouch and Heskey and much prefer him to Bent.
