I think injuries and suspensions have kind of left us a bit short in the centre of midfield and he did well for his 20 minutes playing that role on Saturday.

Cannot see him getting a regular start. He seems to be well behind in the pecking order of defenders and not normally considered to play in central midfield. But you never know...

Probably is lower down the pecking order, but a versatile player, good leadership character, and according to various Spurs fans a better player now than Judas was at his age.

Yeah it does.

Carrick is injured and so not in the squad....

its a real shame carrick or parker arent fit for this one i really would have like to have seen either of those two given a go at the holding role.
