I get that bit. But 'sandal in the bin' doesn't really reflect anything about bin laden dying or anything else other than 'bin' makes up part of his name and he, like 10s of millions of other people, wears/wore sandals. It's like a five year old came up with it because of rhyming words and absolutely no knowledge of events beyond bin laden's name.
