I'm pretty sure 'an assist' is an American term that has been adopted by us for use in football.

An example of an Americanisation is when people call the Premier League the EPL! Now that is annoying.

Assists would be here.. English League One - Top Assists - 2010-11 - ESPN Soccernet

Not sure about accurate passes & tackles but you'd probably have to subscribe to a more specialist stats site such as Opta.
