but agreed he looks better in midfield, thought hammond did well too, he needs to play alongside a tackler- played with a bit more freedom i thought.

El-Abd was my Man of the Match. He broke everything up in midfield, chased everything, closed down, harried, even passed it a few times. The boy has found his natural poisition.

I know i've only seen one of their midfield partnerships, but it was the main area i found upsetting. I don't hate them each by any means, but neither has control, touch or grace that i could spy. El-Abd is an alright defender, but he is clearly able to dismantle rather than form. And Hammo is a sometime goon.

And i get annoyed with no A B D, easy as 1-2-3 song.
