worthing lost 2-0 in their semi fianl to tooting and mitcham, bit down about it, but because ryman 1 will be so weak next season, we have good chance for automatic promotion

Don't know the scores but AFC Wimbledon will face Staines in the play-off for promotion to the BS South...how long till they make it into the Football League?

why has only 1 person mentioned this? great result

Great result indeed for Boro and good luck to them. They're an example as to how a club should be run. The nice thing: Their success has been built on the backs of many local players, not expensive imports who a monkey could probably coach to success.

Many on here won't have noticed Boroughs excellent result. Too busy wringing their hands because their cause celebre at the Pissing Pot is all going Pete Tong right now.

spot on

will be interesting to see how they will fare if they go up next season - with lewes seemingly feeling that they need more investment so desparately as to sack their manager in order to get it, boro could have a real struggle given that their budget is probably around half of what lewes is

The main difference is though is that Eastbourne is a lot bigger town and has the possibility of attracting more fans. Add to that the fact that their ground is already up to A grade standard so will not need to spend any money, means that I think that they will be more likely to survive in the long run.

the main reason their ground is up to the standard might have something to do with the fact that they built their facilities first as opposed to using vast amounts of money to pay and lure players in from london - similar to what crowborough look to be doing. will be interesting to see how they get on next season in the ryman, as only burgess hill have really made a push since going up from the county

the people of eastbourne also have a bit of choice with their teams - eastbourne town are quite well supported and there is also united association. the people of lewes have only one team
