East of Eastbourne
I remember the good old days when Sussex still played cricket at the Saffrons. Play would be suspended to allow low-flying aircraft to swoop over the ground and entertain us all. Marvellous scenes.

I remember having a beer outside the Tiger at East Dean and being surprised by a low flying Spitfire from the air show. Only a few years ago. One of those moments.

Thanks for the suggestions so far folks. Does anyone know whether you can see much from further east, say Bexhill or even Hastings?

I watched it one year from Normans Bay on the beach and hardly anyone there. Good viewing without the crowds.

Live near to Eastbourne and will be going to Airbourne on the Friday, then hopping over to the Amex in the evening. Could be a busy one on the train that day!

We normally do the Park + Ride service. Park your car at 5 Acre Field - near the Sovereign Centre. Buses every 15 mins from 0930 until 1900 to Cavendish Place. We then walk down to the beach get the bus back from Cavendish after. Small charge for bus. We did the train from Polegate before and that was a pain coming back, we were waiting for ages.

I dont think it will be as there is a strike that day

I expect they'll run a severely reduced service, which will be overcrowded. However I'm holding out hope (albeit a very slim chance) that it'll be called off before then anyway!

I've never been ...having lived in Shoreham all my life you'll know where I normally go...but this year is obviously different,

Good news is, I'd expect quite a lot of the non fast jet stuff to be based at Shoreham, bit of a mini airshow.... Though I suspect we won't see the Jet Provost do a < 100ft flypast like last year, piloted by you know who....

Get there early to find street parking at the holywell end of town. Or we parked at st andrews prep school last year they open up their sports field for parking and that was ok it is signposted. Traffic was very heavy coming out of eastbourne after the show so if you can stay longer that would be better.
