Great die hard defender for the Albion. I like him but evidently not preferred by Potter so no-brainer to for him to play for Celtic. The Duffy-Dunk axis was eulogised about on MotD not so long ago ... shame but good luck Shane!

Agreed. He's basically on a season-long Butlins up there in the MTL. He'll have to slum it and laugh it off in the dressing rooms at Motherwell and Kilmarnock, but hope that he can get a few decent European nights out at the strip joints in Prague and Zenit into the bargain. He'll be fine.

Beating teams 7-0 every week does get boring as a defender, I guess scoring a few might help but when I played I always got much more satisfaction from winning well contested games, 3/4 of Celtics games are routs.

The amount of times I imagined him scoring a goal like that for us from corners but it didn’t happen very often, much to my confusion. I guess the quality of the defending is that much higher.
