Open top bus tour - get one where the driver does the commentary rather than the recorded one.

I thought the Guinness tour was one of the worst things I have ever seen. The view from the bar at the end is nice though.

oh and the chip shop by the Mollie Malone statue in O'Connell Street (can't remember its name, Beshoff's?) - they do a great battered smoked haddock

Actually, one thing we did do that was quite good was an afternoon of Gaelic games at Croke Park. Two 'football' matches and a one of hurling (brilliant fun, punch-ups every five minutes). Lasted at least four hours and only cost about 25 Euros. The scoring system is completely, well, Irish but all in all a cracking afternoon's entertainment.
