Driving a Skoda

Hired a Fabia 1.2 estate in summer. Very good little motor much better than the Seat that I also.

I'm afraid I can't bring myself to touch one... just yet, if the quality is maintained for a few years then maybe. Until then, it's still a Skoda

Had an Octavia 2.0 diesel estate for five years and done about 80,000 following the team around the country from my Bristol base.

Fine until the last four months when I have had an ABS failure, wheel bearing going in a rear wheel, anti-roll bar broke and the turbo had to be replaced. Total cost about £3K.

However, all OK now and went to hartlepool like a bomb.

Had an Octavia VRS diesel estate for three years, barnstorming car for the money, excellent drive. If I had to buy a car from my own pocket then I would defintiely lean towards another, couple of years old to get the value.

The only reason not to consider a Skoda these days is snobbery but it's a bit of the Tim awfully nice but dim snobbery as the cars are, as said before, a slightly cheaper Audi/VW

I have an Audi, which is basically just a Skoda with a different badge and wheels, I love it
