Come on, it was a classic, if only because every episode was the same. At work recently we were discussing a famous painting that had been stolen from a castle in Scotland, but none of us could remember what it was called, so we referred to it as "the Fallen Madonna with the Big Boobies".

By Van Clump.

Bloody hell, how did I remember that? WHY did I remember that?

It is absolute quality - repetitive humour but so well done. Great characters -

The two English Airman Carstairs and Fairfax.

Herr Flicks sidekick Von Smallhausen.

Helga, the camp German with his little tank. It is I leClere.

The communist resistance etc.............

Absolute drivel in a worldclass type format.

Hove, f***ing ACTUALLY.
As a 13 year old or so, it kinda summed up that threshold between not quite being old enough to stay out all night with my mates, and also the first stages of discovering sex (!!) and therefore having to stay in with the family whilst my hormones were going into meltdown (the ammount of wanks I had fantasising over Helga and Michelle were quite frightening).

These days I do find myself watching it anjd enjoying it, in a very nostalgic way.

I normally love crap old sitcoms - the likes of "Mothers", "Hot Mum" and "Served?" really crack me up for some weird reason but "Allo" is just atrocious.

I remember when René (forget the actors name) was almost killed during the 1987 Hurricane Storm when a bit of tree crashed through his windscreen and clonked him on the head. He eventually made a full recovery and in later Allo Allo series you can see the huge dent on his forehead!

I liked it as a kid, but watching it now it's all a bit forced. Some good catch phrase's and running jokes.

This thread is a fecking embarrassment.

Allo Allo was, is and always will be SHITE. I imagine you lot still laugh along happily to Dads Army.

Christ.

'Oooh look, Goodfrey is struggling to climb over a fence, dear!'

'Oh yes, when will he learn!'
