It is a good show and went to see the stage version they did, but you made the fatal mistake of trying to categorise it with probably the best of all time in OFAH. If this what not mentioned a great sitcom would have been my choice

I love when the English soldiers start "speaking French". E.G English with a bad French accent

Also, Herr Flick is basically speaking Dutch. English with a terribly bad German accent :lolol:

It is an okay show, the best WWII comedy for me is Hogan's Heroes, for once the Yanks have done something better than the British.

Come on, it was a classic, if only because every episode was the same. At work recently we were discussing a famous painting that had been stolen from a castle in Scotland, but none of us could remember what it was called, so we referred to it as "the Fallen Madonna with the Big Boobies".
