I imagine we have talks with a lot of players but most of the time it doesn't go anywhere.

I think we could have been for the reason mentioned above. Mancini has said he wants him loaned out to a Championship team, both have ties at Chelsea (were they together in the same team?) Gus would probably have sounded both Bridge and City out to see if any deal would suit all three parties.

Probably not, but sort of wish we had been! He'd be good in the Championship. Mr Painter has been getting caught out too much lately. After Poyet's Ipswich rant, really thought we'd see 2 or 3 new faces in the squad for Hull, but it seems like nothing apart from Carter [who according to most threads is... in polite words...not the right player for us or anyone for that matter!!] is happenning.
