My mum's virgin tv and broadband went off just as there was a large clap of thunder overhead (presume a local lightning strike fried something) so not everyone as lucky!

My mother in law lives in Hove she was on the computer when there was a loud bang overhead when a white flash came out of the mouse she was holding. She was adviced to go to a+e to have an ecg etc. They confirmed it was a lighting strike very scary. She was so lucky she is ok but very shaken up. My sister lives up the road from One Stop when the loud bang happened her router got blown luckily no other damage. Here in Mile Oak no probs apart for 5 mins the Sky box went off. Eventful storm glad it has gone.
