I,ve found it strange as i had diffrent dates every month and some are 3 weeks apart.

Its not an issue though

Same here, i thought once a direct debit was set up it worked automatically

Not if you have a Santander account paying a direct debit into another Santander account , my son has the same name as myself but an additional forename (3 initials instead of 2) , used to live at our address but now lives about 400 yards from us so he has a similar postcode. He is paying us back his house deposit loan every month but it has taken 4 attempts to get the payments to go through every month.

Ours were taken with the usual promptness today (the 2nd), but this time they got them right and didn't overcharge for the child's s/t!
