If memory serves me, he played for us only in the second half of the 1986-87 season, which was for half a season too long. For younger viewers, this was instead of Dean Saunders. We went down.

It's probably fair to say he wasn't particularly considered one of our best players, compounded by the fact that he was picked ahead of Dean Saunders - something that Barry Lloyd received an awful lot of grief over.
I got the feeling that, even to this day, it's something Tiltman is a little bit embarrassed about.

Not at all Richard played in Australia and for Worthing and Maidstone before the Albion.
I don't think he was, or had any reason to be embarrassed, it was perhaps a Victor Moses situation.
It's all a little Kronenburg Red Wine and strong painkillers hazy though.
