I thought Carew was nothing more than a lump up front.
Won every header he challenged for apart from one in the second half where Calderon
out-jumped him, but had no ball control or skill whatsover. I was stunned by the standing ovation he received when he was subbed. Says rather a lot about Stoke's expectations perhaps.
