Roberto Di Matteo has emerged as favourite to become Albion's next manager
ROBERTO Di Matteo is the firm early favourite with bookmakers to become Albion's next manager.
The former Chelsea chief was as short as even money today with BetVictor and 6-4 with Stan James to succeed his good friend Gus Poyet at The Amex.
The odds-layers currently see it as a two-horse race, with Darren Ferguson next in the betting at 2-1, followed by Tim Sherwood at 14-1.
Former Albion boss Steve Coppell, now director of football at Crawley, is a 33-1 outsider with BetVictor but only 16-1 with Stan James.
Meanwhile, Poyet is odds-on to replace Martin Jol at Fulham and 4-1 favourite for the Everton job.
