McNamee keeps seven clubs waiting

Livingston and Scotland defender David McNamee will keep seven interested clubs waiting until close to the end of the season before deciding his future.

Brighton, Derby County, Hearts, Plymouth Argyle, Rangers, Sheffield Wednesday and Livingston themselves have all expressed an interest.

And agent Derek Rutherfold told BBC Sport: "He will only sign a pre-contract if it is exceptional.

"He wants to concentrate on helping Livingston avoid relegation."

However, Rutherford admitted that the odds were stacked against the right-back remaining with the Scottish Premier League club, who are still in the process of coming out of administration.

"He is a very loyal kid and feels an obligation to Livingston as they were good to him when they went into administration," he said.

"David is not ruling anything out, but it looks likely that he will sample an alternative workplace next season."

Hearts tried to sign McNamee in January, but their £60,000 joint bid for him and Livingston team-mate Burton O'Brien was rejected.

The pair started their careers at St Mirren and moved to Blackburn Rovers for £300,000 in 1999.

They returned to Scotland to join Livi in August 2002, but their contracts run out at the end of the season.
Can you see him chossing us other any of those others? Maybe Livi, Hearts at a stretch :/
